The meeting centered on the strategic development of a cross-border e-commerce platform in Hong Kong. Leveraging the "Guangdong-Hong Kong Co-operation Win-Win Demonstration Projects in the Greater Bay Area," Hong Kong will play a pivotal role in promoting and distributing quality products from Guangdong to the global market. The proposed platform aims to integrate a significant number of product manufacturing enterprises, establishing a robust client base and enhancing its sustainable growth through comprehensive service offerings.

The discussion also underscored Hong Kong's unique advantages in fostering cross-border e-commerce development. Key areas identified include cross-border payments, logistics integration, bonded warehousing, and related services. These infrastructural advancements will not only strengthen the platform’s foundation but also support the cultivation of e-commerce talent, thereby creating enhanced entrepreneurial opportunities for Hong Kong’s youth.

The participants reached a consensus that the establishment of a cross-border e-commerce platform represents a critical infrastructural initiative for Hong Kong. This endeavor will solidify its position as a leading hub in the Greater Bay Area and beyond, while promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among its next generation.
